Damola Morenikeji has been selected as one of the 12 young leaders from across the world named as Zurich Scholars. Other scholars are outstanding young professionals from Australia, Botswana, Brazil, Indonesia, Malawi, Nepal, Philippines, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Sri Lanka and Zambia. He is the first Nigerian selected for this scholarship.
Damola leads global partnerships efforts at Joy, Inc., a human flourishing company equipping people, communities, organizations and nations with the tools, skills and behaviours to build resilience, transcend adversity, solve problems and find joy. As a benefit corporation, all of Joy, Inc.’s profits are invested in The Joy Hub – a co-working space and walk-in center for young people dealing with mental health challenges, with a focus on depression and anxiety.
As scholars, they will be participating at the One Young World Summit 2019 in London from October 22 till October 26, 2019, and providing perspectives on how a large organisation like Zurich might mobilize its people to contribute to a more sustainable future. One Young World is the global forum for young leaders. The annual One Young World Summit convenes the brightest young talent from every country and sector, working to accelerate social impact.
